About Abraham Lincoln High School

Abraham Lincoln is a small WASC accredited continuation high school which provides students with an alternative to the comprehensive high school.  Our campus is located east of downtown Riverside in an urban and low socio-economic area.  Frequent gang activity and racial tension in the neighborhood surround the campus.  In spite of these challenges, Lincoln is considered to be one of the safest and least vandalized schools in the district.  “Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful” recognized Lincoln for several consecutive years as the Cleanest Campus High School in Riverside. In 2021, Lincoln was designated as a Model Continuation School.

Abraham Lincoln emphasizes an educational environment that centers the interests of its learners and focuses on transferable skills to ready young people for their futures. Lincoln provides students with opportunities to maximize their educational experience which results in equitable outcomes for all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal development, and preparation for education and work after high school graduation.

 It is our mission at Abraham Lincoln to matriculate, educate, and graduate a diverse student population which has been neglected or failed by larger comprehensive high schools. We implement policies, procedures, and practices that advance equity in curriculum, instruction, program development, and staff development. We provide a safe and nurturing environment to encourage students to develop an enthusiasm for life-long learning to pursue post-high school passions, interests, and opportunities.
