Lincoln Newsletter #1
testGreat News, Lincoln is finally building a cafeteria!
Lincoln’s lack of a lunch building has been ignored for many years. Joyce, the nutrition specialist at Lincoln has been working out of a storage box with minimal protection from the elements for the past 19 years. She is excited about the addition and she is not the only one. Staff members have been waiting for this day to come for a long time as well, “It’s great that we’re finally getting a cafeteria, it’s been neglected for so many years” said Mr. Cardenas who has worked at Lincoln for over 15 years.
Mrs. Wagner added, “It is long overdue, we have been getting our food out of a storage unit.” A storage box is not exactly the best place to store and serve food. Both Mrs. Wagner and Mr. Cardenas agree that the food we eat should be presented to us in a more appropriate way. 1

There are major improvements with the new cafeteria:
It has climate control to keep the staff comfortable in the heat and dry in the winter months.
There is more space to work and better equipment to prepare food.
Soon, the nutrition staff will be able to provide better service to students in a permanent and sanitary environment.

The new location of the cafeteria is in the heart of campus. It is now easily accessible to students and in close proximity to the picnic tables allowing students get their food and eat it up in plenty of time.

Everyone at Lincoln is excited for the new cafeteria and it is only a matter of time before the ribbon is cut and we can enjoy the first yummy Lincoln Cafeteria meal.
